now let me show you the shape of my heart.

Just yesterday, Yvonne, Ah Kian and Chee Min came to KL after their visit to Genting. I was initially supposed to join them for the trip but due to some inconveniences, I didn't. Guess it was such good fun as they kept telling me I should have joined them...
oh well, there is always a next time ...

So yeah, apparently, I was forced to wake up at 7smth on that day to have breakfast with my dad in Pudu before he drop me in Bukit Bintang to meet up with them..

Now,let's the pictures do the talkings :]

Chun's Da Pu Noodle (春记大埔面) was introduced by Ah Xian, who is a TV host for one of Malaysia's most popular food show - Taste With Jason ( 阿 贤人情味)....

So my dad thought of giving it a try..

the infamous well-known Da Pu Noodle..
looks nice to you?

are you drooling yet?

.......

..........

...............

BUT...

You know what, it actually doesn't really taste good, like seriously...

even I got cheated by the pictures...

Now who said a picture speaks a thousand words huh.

And this is the Wantan..

Though the food wasn't that satisfying, the drink there amazed me!

They served the best soy milk in town, I must say...

my soy milk! :]
this is like one of the best I ever had ..

Second stop:
Lot 10's food court "Hutong"

Ever since they opened the door to the public on 10 November 2009, there's no shortage of hype over this swanky new food court ...

What's more, it is claimed to be Malaysia's "Best of the Best" street comfort food..Hmm...

With so much already being said, I guess I am gonna keep it short and simple.

Yvonne's..Signature Pork Noodle...

with her pork ball...RM 8.90

It was a disaster though, with tonnes of flour inside....eeeuukkk

Lam Mee (RM 10.90) from the famous Lam Mee stall @ Jalan Yew, Pudu..

To be frank, I was quite disappointed having the fact that it served with a totally different taste from the first time I had it in Pudu and this time in the food court itself....I remember the one in Pudu is served with a thick and dark broth that is so fragrant you can slurp it all down..

It was a....d.i.s.a.s.t.e.r.... as well....

But I'm glad that they like the fried Hokkien Mee from Kim Lian Kee which originates from a road side stall in Petaling Street ♥

It's a family business that has been passed down through four generations.

It's advisable to come here earlier because if you were to go there in the afternoon or later, you might have to queue up..this is especially on the weekends...

Koong Woh Tong outlets are famous in Klang Valley since 1990s. The business was originally from China, then to Hong Kong, then to Singapore and Malaysia.

Guīlínggāo, also known as Tortoise Jelly or Turtle Jelly, is a jelly-like Chinese medicine, also sold as a dessert. It was traditionally made with the powdered plastron (shell) from the critically endangered turtle and a variety of herbal products.

source: [wikipedia]

Its function is to moisten body skin and restorative body condition, relieve internal body heat, and detoxification.

The taste is bitter with a sweet Liquorice aftertaste. Therefore people usually eat with the honey sugar from the teapot.

And oh, it’s supposedly good for skin complexion.

xxx.

Next stop would be.....

Hmm...

Haagan Dazs!

We were supposed to wait for Kent to fetch us around in KL, but he took too much time that we ended up to have Haagan Dazs first...( since Yvonne was so craving for ice-cream!)

Kent, if you happen to see this, don't blame me again please! HAHAHA.

*inside joke*

What's this? A shit feaces?
Hahaha...

yes,we had dessert again...

Belgian Chocolate that is...

and chocolate chocolate chip..

*yum yummm*

Ah Kian was like so moody in this picture. LOL!

Candid yes? Heh.

I had a really great time with both of you. WE kept laughing while planning what should we be doing next. Omg! that was so fun ...

Hmm...I'm so gonna try their Chocolate Fondue the next time I drop by Haegen Dazs (:

We headed to klang for dinner after all that shopping and eating....

I'm pretty sure you guys can guess what I had for my dinner when I said Klang..

What else if it is not Bah Kut Teh, right?

Though I have had Bah Kut Teh in Klang for many times, this would be my very first time to have it @ Teluk Pulai...

I never knew the existence of this place until yesterday. It was a kampung(populated place) in Klang, Selangor.

And guess what, we got lost for a few times before we reached there (even we have a tour guide in Klang),so you can imagine how kampung it is...

The Bah Kut Teh is served in a claypot that is added with the pre-made soup from bones and meat that has herbs and spices like cinnamon, star anise and cloves..

The ingredients are then added in according to your liking and boiled over a stove before serving. Some items will be pre-prepared and added to the soup to heat up.

We ordered 2-claypots of 2-portion original Bah Kut Teh and 1-claypot of 2-portion dried Bah Kut Teh for the six of us.

And this is the Dry Bah Kut Teh ♥

The biggest difference from the original is, obviously, the lack of the herbal soup in the claypot. The ingredient is also stripped to the basic, basically just pork and some veggie ,simmering in the claypot with the sauce that looks a lot like dark soya plus diced garlic and chili.

The soup that made so many addicts out of us is not totally lost, but rather served seperatedly, usually in a bowl. *slurp*

What's more, the meat was great, tender and full of flavor from the “dry” sauce.

However, the dry bak kut teh does overwhelm the taste bud after a while due to it’s concentrated sauce, and the accompanying soup might not be enough. So Pichu suggested us to have the original one first then only we have the dry one. (:

All in all, it was a pretty satisfying stuff... but bear in mind to drink lots of chinese tea after consuming all that Bah Kut Teh as it relieves the thirstiness plus it helps to break up those
oil particles within your body..

Specially thanks to Kent and Pichu for the recommendation and the treat of course! ♥

Give it a try and I’m sure you’ll like it.

Sorry for the lousy photos though, we were all busy eating!

Till the next post (:

Stay tuned guys!!

P/S: I missed you! =P
