Restoran Fatty Crab @ Taman Megah,Petaling Jaya

Should have actually posted this a long long time ago, but due to my laziness and procrastination, here goes another delayed post by me! *oopppsss *






FATTY CRAB!!

Yess,it's ALL about CRAB!!
I bet everyone of us especially foodie from Petaling Jaya/Kuala Lumpur sure know this place.
It is always packed to the brim and renowned for their no frills good food. After all, even the foreigners would choose Fatty Crab as the default place for some crabbies fix.

What's more, besides the branches being set up around Pandan Indah and Seri Kembangan, there is even a branch at Hudson Street, New York City!! Malaysia Boleh yes? :)


It certainly made me curious on the goodness of the crab, and since my dad had been going on and on and on about Fatty Crab's crab, we went there for dinner on one fine day.






We were lucky to reach there earlier :) Can you see the queue? They even prepare chairs for the customers while having them to wait, but it was raining that day so yeah.

My brothers were already famished by then so we ordered some satays and fried chicken wings to fill our stomach.

It has a really delicious and crispy coating while the flesh remains juicy. However, it is only taste good when you have them while it's still hot. Ummm, Good stuff I would say :)

I am never a big fan of satay, but this is quite tender and succulent ...om nom (:

As much as it tasted quite good, it is not infused with enough flavour.

Spicy and Sour Crab.
do not get cheated by the picture though.

We were quite disappointed the moment we sunk our teeth into it. The crabs are not that fresh.

Hmm, a decent effort but a far cry from the real thing after having tasted it.

Having said that, the sauce was quite satisfying.
We even asked for extra to dip the toasted bread with. *YUM!*

And here comes the fried rice. It is superb if you are eating it with the gravy of the crab. *drools*
This is what I called the ultimate comfort food- hot and fluffy. It's still nice enough even when you have it plainly.

Fish as a side dish. As far as I could remember, it doesn't really taste good. Or am I just not liking the sour taste of it?

All in all, it was quite a satisfying meal despite the crab wasn't that fresh on that day and ...

It's a tad pricey..

However, I strongly suggest you to come early if would like to try out this shop especially during weekends.
