debt is....

Have you ever had any debts that are yet to pay?
Like what jasonvip wrote on his blog, debts is something which is owed...
But guess what, I am so surprised to see that what he meant was actually SLEEP DEBT!

So I went to google-ed it and voila!

this is what I found in wikipedia :)

Sleep debt or sleep deficit is the cumulative effect of not getting enough sleep. A large sleep debt may lead to mental and/or physical fatigue.

There’s a folk understanding of “sleep debt” when people haven’t had enough sleep. The unarticulated idea is that this is somewhat like a financial account, and that a built-up debt must be repayed. Indeed, people do sleep longer on weekends than on weekdays. But the popular understanding of sleep debt is not wholly accurate.

For starters, it is not a straight balance. Even after serious sleep deprivation, most people usually need only two or three good nights’ sleep to get back to normal. If you run short one hour per night for 5 nights in a row (say Sunday through Thursday), you don’t necessarily need 5 extra hours on the weekend.

Similarly, people may not feel particularly sleepy near their regular bedtime, but once they lie down they may fall asleep within a normal period of time.

Welllllll, if you still don't get what does it mean, let me enlighten you :)

For instance, if you are sleeping X hours during the weekdays.
And you found out that you can actually sleep more than 1.5 X hours during the weekends AND AND AND you still feels tired .....

then you are on sleep debt...which is definitely UNHEALTHY! :(

And most importantly, lacking in sleep can bring dramatic effects on your quality of life..

Not to forget, you will easily get tired and frustrated and become clumsy the next day..

Now.....

I think I am on sleep debt too.

I am pretty sure some of you out there are in the same boat with me, no? Please say yes! to erm, make me happy? *teehee*

Ohkay, I know it is really nothing to be happy about..

In fact, we should feel ashame as everyone deserves a good night sleep even when you have a lot of work undone...

but you know what, it will be smoothly done if you are in a great shape or condition...

I absolutely agree with you jason! :)

So my dear readers, basically what you need to do now is just to relax, relax and relax...

and of course,

just have a good sleep at night...♥♥♥

P/S: especially credits to Jason for this post :):):)
