Ko Hyang Korean Country Delights @ The Gardens

I was out shopping at Midvalley with the family the other day when we decided to drop by Ko Hyang Korean Country Delights since we have read good comments on it and it's packed with contented patrons most of the times when we passed by there!
I am sure you might have seen this stall too if you have been to The Gardens. It is just located right opposite Cold Storage in the lower ground floor!

Ko Hyang Korean Country Delights
is no stranger to the foodie in KL(like me!). Ko Hyang simply means "hometown" in Korean. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the menu consists of traditional country style home-cooked food with no MSG seasoning used in the preparation...
It is easy to choose as there are brief descriptions and each dish is illustrated in the menu. I am still surprised to see that there are actually not many choice on the menu, but it's still crowded as always! Hmm...

And oh, I heard from my sister that its run by a Korean lady who used to study here, a very pretty lady that is. Too bad I couldn't get the chance to see the owner. Hmm, hopefully I get to see her the next time I go there..? lol.

I guess, a large crowd at a restaurant/hawker stall usually indicates good food right. I'm never a fan of Korean food, but the food served in this stall is pretty good, much to my surprise.

Note: there is a reason it's always packed - good food with reasonable price from RM 9.90 to Rm 18.90..( It is real value for money, yes?)

Along with ....

FREE banchan
....

and FREE soup too! (:

Also,
once seated, you'll be served almost instantly.

My Bibimbap (RM 15.90), a popular Korean dish! ♥
The word literally means "mixed rice". It is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with Namul (sautés and seasoned vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste) and a sunny side up egg. And I have to say, this korean mixed rice was superb! No doubt a healthy portion of fare. I just love the chili pepper paste!
Remember to give it a good mix before eating.

Tteokbokki(RM 13.90)!

This is a popular Korean snack food which is commonly purchased from street vendors. The cylinder shaped rice cakes served with a spicy sauce, meat, eggs, and seasoning. The rice cakes are sticky and chewy with a nice bite to it .

Pajeon aka seafood pancake with prawns and spring onions! (RM 9.50)
It's a variety of jeon with green onions as its prominent ingredient. Pa lietrally means green onion in Korean. It is similar to chinese green onion pancake in appearance but is less dense in texture and not made from a dough.

The soft but slightly oily pancake, a popular street food in Korea was tasty especially when you dipped with the tangy sauce on the side.

Kimchi (RM 5.00)

Finally, if you're a huge fan of Korean food, what else should you order if it is not Kimchi, the most common banchan in Korean cuisine.

While I love the texture of kimchi, it was too spicy and sour to my liking.

We dropped by the newly opened bakery in Mid Valley - Lavender after the much satisfying meal on that day. I'm sure those who are from Johor Bahru are familiar with this brand as it's origin from there.

Lavender provides a wide range of buns, which they claim no preservative is used. But I dunno how true it is.

The good thing about Lavender is the buns here are really tasty..

This is really nice. I couldn't remember the price but i know it's a tad expensive.

Charcoal Doughnut (:
It might not look nice in appearance, but surprisingly this particular doughnut is crispy. (really!)What's more with the light taste of sweet..NICE!

LAVENDER~~~!

Thanks my dearest sister for the treat! ♥

xxx.

Thinking of you makes my life complete.
You're my golden clouds; you're my smile.
You are all the soulful love songs within my spirit,
like an angel calling me... perfect for my soul!
